On Saturday, May 19, I had the privilege of presenting certificates and commemorative medals to area veterans of the Korean War. Montgomery County Commissioner Jim Matthews, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, joined me for the ceremony at Montgomery County Community College. It was a special day for the veterans and their families, and it was a special day for me as well.
