Update on Area Highway Construction Projects Featured on Harper’s Monthly Legislative Report
Highway improvements in Montgomery County, including the Route 202 Parkway and the nearly completed Route 309 project, are the focus of the July edition of Rep. Kate Harper’s Legislative Report television program.
Harper’s guest is George Dunheimer, assistant district executive for PennDOT District 6, which covers Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties. They discuss three active projects on Route 202 in Montgomery County, including the new section of highway being built between Route 63 and Horsham Road. That portion of the project includes a new bridge that will carry Route 202 over Route 309 to help keep traffic moving better and reduce the amount of cut-through traffic in the area.
Harper and Dunheimer also discussed the Route 309 project, which is due to be wrapped up this year, and reconstruction of the Blue Route from the Turnpike to the Schuylkill Expressway.
