Montgomery County Senior Games, Expo Highlighted in Harper’s June Legislative Report Program
HARRISBURG – Hundreds of senior citizen athletes turned out for fun, friendship and exercise at the 32nd annual Montgomery County Senior Games and Expo. The event is featured on the June edition of Legislative Report with Rep. Kate Harper (R-Montgomery).

During the program, Harper talks with athletes Joe Havlick of East Norriton, who at nearly 91 years of age has participated in the games the last 18 years and has hundreds of medals, and Ann “Sis” Corbo of Blue Bell, who in her first year at the games earned medals in pickle ball, bocce and shuffleboard. She also talks with Katie Kollar, volunteer coordinator for the Senior Games, who reports about 100 volunteers helped during the week-long event, which generated the largest participation ever at 550 athletes.

The program also includes footage from the expo portion of the event, including Danielle Wiley of TransNet; Melissa McElwaine, suicide prevention coordinator at the Coatesville VA Medical Center, and Erin Hewitt of the Montgomery County Suicide Prevention Task Force; Attorney Susan Piette, who shares information about the Montgomery County Bar Association’s Elder Law Handbook; Cynthia Crawford, medical advocate at Lansdale Hospital, who outlines services available at the Women’s Center of Montgomery County; and Bill Maclean, volunteer counselor with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
