Tips for Planning a Great Trip to PA State Parks Featured on Harper’s Legislative Report Television Program
HARRISBURG – Looking for a day trip, weekend getaway or vacation destination and want to try out one of the state’s more than 120 outdoor recreational areas? Tune into the March edition of Legislative Report with Rep. Kate Harper for tips about how to plan a successful trip.
Harper’s guest on the program is Beth Rosevear Grove, park operations manager for the Bureau of State Parks within the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Grove’s primary duties include ensuring the state’s award-winning reservations website is working and providing accurate information to potential park visitors.
During the program, the two discuss the varied recreation opportunities and accommodations at different parks, including camping, swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, wildlife watching, history and more. Grove also offers tips and a walk-through of the state park website, VisitPAParks.com
, which helps visitors choose the park best suited to their needs. Reservations can also be made online.
The 30-minute program airs as follows:
